Elviria
Elviria is a small community located approximately a fifteen-minute drive from Marbella city centre and 50kms from Malaga airport. Elviria is another of the coast’s recent housing developments and is therefore well equipped with services, amenities and entertainment facilities. The majority of homes in Elviria have been built within walking distance to the beach.
There are two golf courses located within Elviria, the Santa Maria and Santa Clara and two other golf courses; the Marbella Club and the Golf Rio Real are only a short drive away. The El Casco Tennis Club is also located in Elviria and is fully equipped with modern facilities. Calahonda's port, Cabopino is also close by and available to residents of Elviria for use.
Local health services are provided by the Costa's state-funded hospital, Hospital Costa del Sol, which is only 2kms from Elviria. First-class educational facilities are provided by the English International School, which caters for primary and secondary students.

Calahonda (Sp = "shallow bay")
Calahonda is 33kms from Malaga airport, in between Marbella and Fuengirola. This is a custom-built urbanisation or housing estate that has been so successful, it is now known as a town in its own right, although Calahonda is really only a suburb of Marbella. Calahonda is regarded as a prime real estate area due to its proximity to all major towns along the coast, whilst managing to preserve the atmosphere of a small town.

Calahonda was developed specifically to combine rural and coastal life. As a result, there are few high-rise apartment buildings in Calahonda, mostly villas and townhouses. The amenities in Calahonda are all located within easy walking distance. Calahonda has no less than three commercial centres, which house supermarkets, banks, hardware and furniture stores, garden supplies, car hire, travel agencies, hairdressers, bars and more than forty restaurants.

There at least ten golf course located within 10km of Calahonda. Four of these golf courses are in the immediate Calahonda area. There is a fitness centre and tennis court available to residents. Calahonda also has its own port, known as Cabopino, where a wide variety of watersports take place. Medical and educational facilities are also catered for. In the town there are three chemists, whilst the coast’s state-funded hospital is a two-minute drive away. There is a nursery school in Calahonda as well as private primary and secondary schools nearby, including the esteemed English International School, which is only a ten-minute drive away.
